Russ Hodgson, CFP®
If you have heart problems, you seek out a cardiac specialist – not a general practitioner. Similarly, if you are reaching retirement or already retired, you need the help of a financial advisor who has extensive experience designing income and money management strategies for retirees. Russ Hodgson’s experience and training give him the knowledge to identify financial weaknesses and recommend strategies other financial advisors may not recognize.
“My mission,” Russ says, “is to create comprehensive retirement income strategies for clients who have spent a lifetime accumulating assets and now need to use those assets wisely for lifetime income.”
A financial professional since 1987, Russ has the in-depth knowledge of financial issues that comes from almost three decades of experience. His credentials include a B.S. in Economics from the University of Utah and the elite designation of CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) practitioner, which required advanced coursework in a comprehensive range of financial subjects.
As an independent advisor, Russ is not burdened with the pressure of selling certain financial products or meeting sales quotas. He is free to search the marketplace and recommend strategies that are driven strictly by his clients’ needs and best interests. Working with him, clients get an unbiased, well-thought-out plan, not a sales pitch.
Away from work, Russ enjoys spending his time in various outdoor activities. He and his wife have been married 25 years and have four children.
